We are currently introducing our Chartered Professional Standard across the cyber security industry.
To do this, we are working with partners across the industry to roll out pilot schemes for Chartered Professional Titles which align to 15 cyber security specialisms.
To date, we have launched the following Specialisms:
If you are interested in becoming a Chartered professional in any of the Specialisms listed above, we recommend joining our newsletter for the latest announcements on when and how you can get involved as new Specialisms are released. You can sign up to our newsletter here.
Further details on future mapped Specialisms are available on our Professional Registration Roadmap.
CCP Transfer to Chartered Professional Registration.
Practitioners holding a CCP certification may apply to transfer, via a top-up process, to Chartered or Principal professional registration. The option to undertake the top up process and transfer to a professional title aligned to the Council’s professional standard is currently available for practitioners with certifications related to the specialisms of Cyber Security Governance & Risk Management.
The assessment criteria for making this transition is available on The Route to Chartership page of our website. Practitioners can find out more information about the process of transferring from the awarding body from which they received their existing certification.
If you are a Head Consultant in Governance and Risk Management under the CCP scheme, once you revalidate this can be taken as evidence that you meet the UK Cyber Security Council criteria requirements for Chartered professional registration.
Legacy role-based CCP certifications
It is important to note that individuals who hold a legacy role-based certification through the CCP scheme are no longer able to renew this certification as this legacy scheme has closed. Existing certifications granted from 2021 onwards will, however, remain valid for three years from when the latest validation or revalidation was granted.
Those holding legacy role-based certifications after this period can then apply for Chartership through the Council.
