Developing Specialisms

Help us to develop new Specialisms

We are committed to providing choice and inclusion, ensuring that professional registration is ultimately available to the entire cyber security profession. To this end, we are developing our processes to be able to consider applications to become a Licensed Body or to develop a specialism, but we are not yet able to accept applications. 

To be best placed to apply once our process is ready, you may wish to start collating the following: 

• Charity or company registration documents. 

• An outline of the resources (staff time, systems, etc.) that you are able to put towards this process. 

• Your approach towards recruiting, selecting and managing assessors, including if you intend to run a voluntary or paid assessor approach.  

• Your current diversity and inclusion policies and processes. 

• Market analysis describing your access to the cyber security profession, which segments you best address and how you will generate interest in professional registration within these segments. 

• Potential pilot candidates (10-20 cyber security professionals willing to be test subjects).  

• A business case describing how professional registration fits into your existing operating model, e.g. is it an upsell on a certification? Does it complement a membership offering?
