Security is not just for techies and in today’s digital age, where it is vital that everyone leads with a security first mindset, we want to break down the barriers and open the doors into security. To do this, our Panel will discuss the wide variety of skills that are needed in cyber roles; the obvious, the necessary and hopefully the surprising!

Cyber security can be a daunting place to enter, with lots of acronyms and jargon, the access doesn’t always feel like it’s there, but with the media and companies talking about the demand for more cyber professionals – it’s time to see if we can close that gap.

We have a panel of four women from BT Group who will be sharing their journeys into cyber and what skills they use on the daily to give an insight into what really makes a security professional. Their roles are as varied as the skills they will be discussing and by the end of the session hopefully you’ll realise the wide variety of skills that cyber roles require and that there really is a cyber role for everyone.
