Adam D'Arcy - DFIR Lead for CyberClan
A seasoned practitioner in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), currently serving as a DFIR Lead at CyberClan, an international cybersecurity service provider. He was awarded the prestigious title of Chartered Cyber Security Professional (ChCSP) in December 2024.
His journey in forensic science began in 2010 when he joined the Forensic Science Service in London as a Forensic Examiner. This role laid the foundation for his expertise in digital forensics, leading him to the Metropolitan Police, where he served for six years in the Biology and Trace department.
In 2018, he transitioned to the Digital Forensic Unit (DFU), where he quickly took on the role of Training and Knowledge Specialist. In this position, he developed and delivered digital forensic training, enhancing the unit’s capabilities and knowledge base. In 2021, he relocated to Dorset to become the DFU Manager for Dorset Police, where he led the unit through multiple UKAS assessments and managed a team of 15 staff members, ensuring high standards and operational excellence.
In 2023, he made the move to the private sector, joining CyberClan as a DFIR Analyst. In this role, he conducted incident response and digital forensic investigations, leveraging his extensive experience to support clients through complex cybersecurity challenges. His work involved analysing incidents, managing response teams, and developing strategies to enhance organisational resilience. He has since been made a Lead, where he now coordinates and devises the investigative strategy for DFIR engagements, as well as carrying out analysis, to ensure that clients receive the best service possible.
Throughout his career, he has remained committed to professional growth and excellence in the field of digital forensics and incident response. His journey reflects a dedication to continuous learning and the application of his expertise to protect and support organisations in navigating the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
