Richard is a Staff Security Engineer at Ripple, with a focus on Detection & Response. He leverages his deep understanding of attacker techniques to proactively detect and mitigate threats using modern SIEM, XDR, and automation technologies. 

Richard is adept at responding to threats, whether through hands-on intervention or automated processes. His work is highly technical, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of modern operating systems and cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.  

Prior to his role at Ripple, Richard served as a Manager in Detection Engineering at PwC, where he provided expert consulting services in threat hunting, detection engineering, incident response, and threat intelligence.   

Richard’s expertise lies in bridging the gap between advanced security operations and cutting-edge technology to safeguard organisations against evolving cyber threats.
