You have the right to complain to the Council if you believe there has been an ethical breach.
Please note: Any complaint received that is not relevant to the Code of Ethics is out of scope for this process.

To begin the complaint process, submit your complaint by completing the below form. If you have any queries before submitting an official complaint, you can send these to the Standards team Standards@ukcybersecuritycouncil.org.uk
Note: If your complaint is based on an alleged registration appeal process, the Standards team will collaborate with the relevant Professional Standards team to determine whether the registration appeal process should be implemented instead of the ethical breach process You will be notified if this is the case.
Upon receiving your complaint, the Council will initiate an investigation.
The Ethics Committee is advised to start the Ethical Breach Process and provided with a report of the complaints and steps taken to date.
Is there a case to answer - Taking the Code of Ethics and the Guiding Principles for Individuals, has there been a clear breach? If yes, there is a case to answer.
If it is not clear, or after consideration the Ethics Panel believe there is no case to answer, this recommendation and drafted feedback should be written and approved by the Ethics Committee
The individual will receive this feedback.
This could include gathering more written information, research, interviews, any other actions as deemed necessary.
Regardless of the final decision made by the Ethics Committee, the individual who made the original complaint will be informed.
